The Company
Metminco began in October 2007 as a diversified greenfields mineral explorer with projects in Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory. Since mid 2009 the Company changed its focus to South America, by becoming the largest shareholder in Hampton Mining Ltd. Hampton holds a significant portfolio of Projects located in Chile & Peru. These projects, which are primarily focused on porphyry style copper deposits, also include exposure to gold, molybdenum and zinc.
Comprehensive testing of the principle prospect, Los Calatos in southern Peru, primarily by additional drilling, is aimed at refining and expanding the existing JORC resource. The success of this exploration program should see Los Calatos through to development.
Metminco will continue to seek and review further suitable projects with a view to building a substantial exploration asset base providing ongoing value to Shareholders.
