The Directors of Metminco Ltd are pleased to advise that the 609 square kilometre West Lake Eyre exploration licence EL3929, formerly ELA2007/00222, was granted on 21 September 2007. The West Lake Eyre Project is located in the north east of Gawler Craton region of South Australia. The Gawler Craton is host to a number of World class mineral deposits.

Previous exploration within EL3929 has delineated a strong coincident 20 milligal gravity and aeromagnetic anomaly on the western portion of the project, which still remains untested. This gravity anomaly is similar to that of the Prominent Hill and Olympic Dam style Iron Oxide Copper Gold uranium mineralization (IOCG). These features lie within the same corridor as the Olympic Dam deposit.
