News > Appointment of New Directors to Metminco

Metminco Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of three new non - executive directors to the Board of Metminco, effective from 17 July 2009. The new directors are; William J Howe, currently Managing Director of Hampton Mining Ltd (Hampton), Phillip J Wing, the Chairman of Hampton and William S Etheridge. These appointments result from the recent acquisition of a 36.5% holding in Hampton by Metminco and reflect the renewed focus onto the copper - molybdenum - gold projects in Chile & Peru.

The new Directors of Metminco collectively have significant experience in managing public companies. Their varied experience in geology, exploration, and mining project development along with investment, finance and general company management will be an asset to the Company and will assist in advancing the high quality projects now within Metminco’s portfolio.

An update will soon be provided to shareholders on the status and future exploration of the Company’s projects, following a recent field visit to the Hampton properties in Chile and Peru, including the promising large copper discovery at Los Calatos.
